Sport Psychology support for High IQ Athletes and Mensa Members
Are you an athlete with a High IQ and looking for Sport Psychology support? Would you like to work with someone who understands first-hand that living with a high IQ can bring challenges, as well as benefits?!
As an athlete, a high IQ can bring many positives, such as strong analytical and reflective skills, the ability to learn and adapt quickly, or a focus on how to improve. However, alongside this, there can sometimes be a tendency for perfectionism and holding ourselves to extremely high standards. This can have the propensity to lead to overthinking, self-esteem and confidence challenges.
I’m Laura, and as someone who has noticed that they often think about things a little differently to others, I finally bit the bullet, took the test and had my own high IQ confirmed. As an HCPC registered sport psychologist and chartered psychologist with the British Psychological society, you can be assured of my professionalism and evidence-based practice. Supporting athletes of all levels, elite to recreational, to achieve their own personal goals, is something that I am hugely grateful to have the opportunity to do. I offer online support, meaning I can work with you wherever you are based.
I would love to chat with you and see how I may be able to support you. I offer a 20-minute free of charge online introductory meeting to all new clients, as choosing a psychologist who ‘feels right’ for you is very important. Get in touch using the contact form here if you would like to book yours.
I look forward to chatting with you!
